Greetings!
I hope that you have a joyful time during your visit at our web site.
You will find comprehensive information about Kutahya Porselen in these pages. However, I’d like to provide you with another perspective by which you can view Kutahya Porselen from another angle of vision here.
As commonly accepted by the entire world now, porcelain products have a vital role to play in our daily lives. Not only the primary symbol of hygiene they represent but also the requirement for upkeeping our health and prestige they are, if not thought their values as the most precious memorials of these days in future. They are therefore counted among the most valuable gifts that can be exchanged.
On the other hand, the porcelain production is a tough process having many challenges and risky areas to tackle. This can be best demonstrated by the example of some hundreds of business enterprises closing their doors permanently to trade in Europe, in addition to some five in Turkey, during the last one or two decades. But, there is a significant taste and joy of achieving success by beating the seemingly invincible. It is this overwhelming joy that charms me for having tackled the constraints and made this success sustainable as the most senior of the porcelain producers living and pursuing business in this country.
When we were starting up porcelain production in 1976, which was the first time in Kutahya, the most popular profit-sharing structure of the day was “Public sector involvement” as in terms most popularly used for today, which involved Is Bank, Turkish Industrial Develolpment Bank, Industrial Investments and Funding Credits Bank, Sumerbank, Vakiflar Bank, Desiyab (lately known as Development Bank of Turkey), Esbank, Kutahya City Private Administration, Kutahya City Municipality and the public as the major stakeholders and partners of the project. As one can easily remember, this model did not work for Turkey. In the course of time, we ,as the Gural Family, gained the control of 75% of the capital issues of Kutahya Porselen on demand and through guidance of partnering banks leaving only a 25% portion to the disposal and control of Sumerbank, Desiyab and Vakiflar Bank, which was further acquired lby ISEX, which made Kutahya Porselen a major tier.
Kutahya Porselen grew bigger over time. It diversified its production efforts through expanding to floor and wall tile production and packaging industries in addition to porcelain production, its core business activity. In the mean time, it guided the entire way out for the establishment of Gural Porselen in 1989, another company owned by the Gural Family, from land allocation and construction efforts to commissioning, from orientation and staff training to operating policies and from product design to marketing, covering all intermediate stages.
Taking huge steps forth in a cosiderably short period of time, Kutahya Porselen was awarded, for the first time in country’s history, with the “Best Business Commitment to Customer satisfaction” prize of the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Trade thanks to its sustained quality of products and customer focused sales perspective. This particular event enabled company to take place among “Super Brands of Turkey 2005” list prepared and published by the Superbrands group, a reputable rating institution, holding representations in 48 countries of the world.
We all know how hard to select the best gift. Yet, nobody is left to doubt about that when picking one of our products! Since, porcelain stuff can be used for hundreds of years and if they are manufactured as handmade with the unique talents and knowledge of artisans, they pose immense value as a reflection of both our history and culture, thus rendering their final users into great joy and overwhelming pleasure. In a majority of the gift granting ceremonies monitored by the press, it would be interesting to note that the gifts themselves bear the Kutahya Porselen brands.
All the success we have achieved until this point with floor and wall tile production is an outcome of not only the customer satisfaction levels attained but also the visual success we managed to attain. I therefore proudly claim that you may not find any difference between Kutahya Seramik’s products and other brands leading the Europe.
As for today, Kutahya Seramik is among the top ten producers of ceramic products of the country and top hundred producers of the globe. Kutahya Packaging on the other hand is the fifth biggest producer of Turkey, despite the fact that it could not have achieved a rank in global sortings. All these glorious developments and success attained are owed to our invaluable working fellows.
Moving on the vision “to become a universal organization creating new markets and growing with its open-minded and passionate business partners and with its services”, Kutahya Porselen monitors technological innovations in the sector and implements all contemporary technologies that have relevance with the industry.
Kütahya Porselen Ind. Corp. is committed to “produce goods at least meeting but preferably going beyond individual expectations and requirements of customers, giving them joy of life with their asthetic and artistic values as well as to protect the health of the customers by paying attention to the use of safe chemical materials in production.
Best Regards,
Nafi GÜRAL
